Data Use Policy

This Data Use Policy explains in plain terms what happens to the data you enter when using YourLeaseAgreement.com. We believe you should know exactly how your information is handled.

Form Data Encryption

All lease agreement form data you enter (including names, addresses, rent amounts, and other lease terms) is encrypted using AES-256-CBC encryption before being stored on our servers. This means your data is unreadable without the encryption key, which is kept separate from the data itself.

Automatic Deletion

Your form data and generated PDF documents are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers 5 days after your transaction. This deletion runs automatically every day. We do not retain or archive your lease agreement content beyond this 5-day window.

The 5-day window exists solely to allow you to re-download your document in case you need it again. After 5 days, the data is gone and cannot be recovered.

What We Retain Long-Term

After the 5-day window, we retain only the following minimal transaction data for accounting and support purposes:

Your email address
The document type and state you selected
The Stripe payment reference ID and amount
The transaction date and time

We do not retain the content of your lease agreement (names, addresses, rent terms, etc.) beyond 5 days.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number, CVV, or other payment card details. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Email Delivery

Your document download link and purchase confirmation are sent via Resend, a transactional email service. Resend receives your email address for the purpose of delivering these messages. Email delivery data is governed by Resend's privacy policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your lease agreement form data with any third party. The only data shared with third parties is:

Your email address with Resend (for document delivery only)
Payment data with Stripe (for payment processing only)
Request metadata with Cloudflare (for DNS and security routing)
